Ledgemore to Kingscote

Distance about 12 miles, allow an hour and a half, longer if it's wet as you will spend a lot of time unclogging clay from your wheels. The ride starts by heading up Tetbury Lane. Some photos taken along the ride are below the map.

This is based on the Ledgemore Bottom ride, but is an extended ride that takes you through a pretty much all downhill route through the woods from Kingscote to Horsley. Getting to Kingscote is a bit of a slog but the ride is worth it (in my opinion!). The Ledgemore section can be very heavy in the wet as it takes you along the edges of some fields and the soil type is mainly like clay so it just sticks to the tyres and jams everything up solid!

The route on the map is colour coded in the following way. Red is up hill, green is flat(ish) and blue is downhill. The steepest uphill section is Tetbury Lane. Once that is done, the rest is fairly easy.

And if watching paint dry is your bag below is a video of the ride through the wood from Kingscote to Horsley.

Below are some photos taken on the ride.
