Stroud people are encouraged to take photographs of cars that have been carelessly parked and blocking pavement access for pedestrians, wheelchairs and pushchairs. The images will form an exhibition and the biggest plonker will receive an award.

Of course this should be accompanied by a fine as it is illegal to block a pavement by parking on it!

Have you seen what the Highways have done at Thrupp they have painted on the road and pavement allowing people to park their cars on the main road - what makes it worse is that all these terraced houses have access to the back of their properties, most with off road parking but are far too lazy to use it!

This should be done to a certain Postman who delivers in parts of Nailsworth and Forestgreen .

The very tall postman? I have tried pointing out to his boss that if anyone is walking down the hill with a pushchair or if they are a wheelchair user they would have to go into the road to get past him but have received no response. A first class plonker

So, perhaps this weeks 'Plonker Award' should go to all the drivers who think that they are clever enough to get away with driving over Llanthony Bascule Bridge!

Maybe the government should receive one for encouraging councils to build 30,000.000 new houses across Britain in unsuitable areas without upgrading the road access to them.

Can I nominate myself!

Last night I put in salt instead of castor sugar into the Swiss Rolls.

The whole rig is now in the process of developing high blood pressure!

I gather from this SR that being on the rig, there is no where to run and hide until it all blows over. Mind you, you could always say that you accidentally had the porthole open and some sea water managed to splash on the Swiss rolls

I believe Mr Suresh Kalmadi the commonwealth games chief deserves this prestigious award. At a press conference in Delhi he thanked Princess Diana for attending the opening ceremony. Bit of a gaff there but then maybe the news that she died 13 years ago may have not reached his ears.

That reminds me SR, of when I was cooking pudding for the staff and rushed into the stores where everything was kept in square blue containers all neatly labelled. I took out baking powder instead of custard for the pudding. The pot bubbled and fizzed all over the top of the aga like a witched cauldron!
