Now that Crystal Fountain Village has gone into liquidation I wonder what the fate will be of the Crown at Inchbrook?

Why don't those of us who have fond memories of the old place start a fund to buy it and re-open it? I'd willingly contribute.

We'd probably be better off clubbing together and buying a Greek airport or two.

A sad ruin.

It's a disgrace! A perfectly good building, with some history attached, allowed to slowly disintegrate.

Maybe S.D.C. should compulsorily purchase it (like they are with 'Glendower') and restore it for housing etc.

It is NOT a good advertisement for Nailsworth as you approach the town.

I would hope that C F Village would put it up for sale now.

CF is no longer CF. The house owners have taken over ownership of the village!

I'd heard that: the first retirement village owned by its residents. I'll be watching with interest to see if this is the future of retirement homes.

Brilliant news, they must have organised themselves well to be able to take over the managrment of it. Good for them, perhaps it was cheaper for them to run the village themselves anyway.

What's this got to do with the Crown? Is the pub part of the village? Will the new owners reopen it?

I think CF bought he pub then let it run down. Maybe someone can tell us if they still own it?

AC 15.39 I don't know if it now belongs to the new CF residents, but it's an interesting thought. I wonder if they'll explore possibilities for this poor, sad building now. It was up for rent at one stage but to be honest I think it needed a lot of work done to make it a viable premises for any business.

The Crown does now belong to Woodchester Valley Village [formerly CF Village] and they are intening to dispose of it. There is a rumour that it will become a dental practice.

I've noticed that recently there has been a lot of clearing up done outside the building.

Good that it will be used again - even if it's not for a pub.

There's also a good piece about the new Woodchester Valleys Village (as they're now calling CF Village) in the ***** this month. When they've settled down, I wonder if the new Community Interest Company would consider running some open days, telling people about their change to being run by the residents and allowing people to have a look around? I'd be interested...even if I'm still a little young for their properties.
